This is my fourth Nissan Thermos which is a bit strange in that it is supposed to have a life guarantee. Problem is the cap–plunger does not last as long as the container. It no longer pushes all the coffee grounds to the bottom, thus a new Thermos. Still, it keeps coffee hot, can be carried around and is great for one or two people.
This press does indeed keep the coffee warmer than the traditional glass Bodem presses. It is easy to clean. My only issue is that many grinds escape the screen in the pressing process. I have incrementally changed from a medium-fine grind to a coarse grind and have added a second screen to the press plunger and still get grinds in the brew when I pour a cup. Is anyone else experiencing this and have you found a solution?
