In my opinion this product does not live up to the name Krups, which is usually a symbol for quality and reliability. Perhaps that is all in the past. The grind setting on my machine does not noticeably alter the grind. The upper burr grinder does not stay in place. Grinds and coffee dust invariably scatter, making its area a constant mess. I do not think the cup setting works much better. It always seems to make the same medium grind, as for a drip coffee machine. If I want to make espresso or french press, I have to resort to a simpler, cheaper Capresso electric mill.
most recent blog entriesI’ve had this grinder for over 8 months now and have had great success using it. It looks great with the companion Krups FMF5 Thermal Coffee Maker. It has a small footprint and works wonderfully. Do yourself a favor and buy this grinder.
